Last night as I was putting Ella to bed, this was the conversation that ensued:
Ella: "Momma, I want to read Ballet Kitty."
Mom: "OK"
Ella: "Momma-I read book myself. I a big girl. No momma read book. Ella read it."
Mom: "OK" (Standing there stunned)
Apparently, I have been demoted from story teller to story listener.
Little Miss Independent read the book almost word for word-of course, it was in her "I spoke Mandarin for four years and am just getting this English language down" words. We said prayers and I tucked her in and got sad that she is getting so big. She is growing up too fast (I have repeatedly stated this fact about all my kids.) When someone figures out how to slow down time-please let me know.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new design!!!
And I loved the post as well.
Your blog looks great! You always know that your baby is growing up when they start reading to you...its a sad realization that time doesn't stop!
If you figure out a way to slow down time, please, please, PLEASE let me know! I would love to see a video of her reading this to you. It's amazing how they can memorize books almost verbatum. I bet her adorable little accent is just too cute.
Very sweet. She has a lovely room! I too would love to see a video of her accent!
How cute!
Sarah

I will definately have to video story time...Ella's accent is pretty funny =).
Rhonda, this is such an awesome way to catch up on what you guys have been up to! I'm forwarding this address to Dave's cousin right now so that she can see this. She'll be so excited.
