Don't worry that children never listen to you; worry that they are always watching you. ~Robert Fulghum

Everyday before Ella goes to preschool, I let her sit down and watch 1/2 hour of television while I clean up around the house. She always picks Pinky Dinky Doo. For those of you who are not familiar with Pinky Dinky Doo, the show is interactive. I usually hear Ella talking/screaming out answers to questions or singing along. Today, all I heard was silence. So, I come downstairs to this

I asked Ella why she was drinking a Diet Coke. She looks at me and says:

"I want to be just like momma."

Yikes! I have been trying to stop drinking pop, especially Diet Coke, but once in a while-a girl just needs a caffeine boost. After today, I think I'm good. I'm done drinking Diet Coke in public. When and if I need a lift-I am so in the closet drinking my Diet Coke.

And if anyone is up tonight between 10-3 am, call me-I'll be up with a child bouncing off the walls.

I love this post!! Ella's face is hilarious!! A Diet Coke every once in awhile won't hurt the girl! I'll be thinking of you tonight when the caffine boosters are kicking into overdrive.

I am so picturing you in your closet with your Diet Coke and a look similar to Ella's in that post. LOL

Love love love diet coke. My kids don't like it. Thank goodness, more for me. Though I have stopped drinking pop all together...Venti Iced Black tea with no sweetener from Starbucks.

Too funny!! And of course, you did what every good blogging mama does... Grab the camera!! lol

My morning coffee of choice is Diet Mountain Dew and the kids only know it as "wake up juice." I hope they don't try that one. I will definately have kids bouncing off the walls.

Thanks for the smile!

They are always up to something when they are quiet, aren't they? Too funny!!! This reminds me of the time I was at my Dad's house, and we were all in the family room. It had been awhile since we had heard or seen my little 4 yr. old nephew, who is usually quite loud. I went to check on him, and found him sitting at the kitchen table, and he had just finished eating the top of his 9th cupcake!! Yes, only the tops were eaten, he knows where the good part is, LOL!
I love the quote at the top! So true!

That is really funny! Libby is allergic to red dye (seriously, have you EVER heard of THAT before?), and I told her that D.Coke has red dye in it. It does, right?

What a smart girl to want to be like her Momma! If drinking an occasional diet coke is her worst habit, she's got it made ! :)
